KHAR, Bajaur: Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (North) has not only restored but also renovated two mosques in Bajaur, which were completely devastated by militant activities, as a good step towards community rehabilitation and religious harmony.
Of the mosques, Masjid Suleman Khel and Masjid Ahrab, the latter was more extensively ruined being the first to come across the wrath of the banned extremists and partly destroyed. FC KP North took the step of performing complete reconstruction and refurbishing of the religious sites, making sure that they are again operable and so friendly as to invite the worshippers.
In the process of rehabilitation, solar electric power systems were installed at both mosques for the purpose of providing non-stopping power supply. The restoration work included among others the modern facilities of enhanced lightening, upgraded ablution (wuzu) areas and improved sanitation systems.
The local people have greatly appreciated this initiative and expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Army through the Pakistan Armed Forces.
