ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally declared the schedule for the edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The grand tournament is set to take place from March 26 to May 3 2026, culminating with the final on May 3.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi additionally declared that the auction for teams has been delayed from January 6 to January 8 to provide extra time, for submitting bids.

While addressing a roadshow in New York Naqvi reaffirmed his dedication to elevating PSL to the league globally stressing that Pakistan cricket’s future holds great promise. He pointed out that the bidding procedures for the two teams would be carried out transparently with the auctions streamed live.

The New York roadshow included the anthem and involved six players from the Pakistan men’s cricket team, namely Salman Ali Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Saeem Ayub, Shan Masood and Saud Shakeel. During the event, cricket legends and PCB officials conducted a panel discussion while Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S., Rizwan Saeed Sheikh commended PSL as an expanding brand and a forum supporting sports diplomacy and cultural interaction.

Cricket players and experts discussed PSL’s influence on nurturing talent and engaging fans. Shan Masood mentioned that PSL enhanced his skills and provided access to expert coaching, whereas Salman Ali Agha emphasized its importance in teaching pressure management. Saud Shakeel referred to his time in PSL as excellent, appreciating the chance to collaborate with coaches.

Renowned cricketer Wasim Akram commended PSL for giving chances to players and delivering entertainment to supporters. Ramiz Raja mentioned that the tournament enables emerging players to challenge stars enhancing the general standard of Pakistan cricket.

Naqvi reiterated that both PCB and PSL management are working together to strengthen Pakistan cricket and fulfill the vision of making PSL the world’s premier cricket league.
