MAKKAH: Brazilian footballer Kathleen Souza has embraced Islam and performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia, according to reports.
The football club Al-Nassr FC announced Souza’s acceptance of Islam in a celebration with her teammates on Tuesday. The football club shared the news on its official platforms by posting a video of Souza during the announcement.

The video showed Souza explaining her feelings because she needed to discover her true path which would help her reach her best self. She performed Umrah at Masjid al-Haram after her conversion, which marked a vital religious experience in her life.
Al-Nassr FC also prayed for her guidance and peace, while teammates joined in celebrating this significant personal milestone.
British Rapper Central C converts to Islam, changes name to Aqeel
Earlier, the British Rapper Central C, who became famous through his hit song “Too Much” revealed his conversion to Islam to his audience during a live performance.
The musician who goes by the name Oakley Neil Caesar-Su announced that he had spoken the Islamic declaration of faith which serves as his official conversion to Islam.
The 27-year-old musician announced his name change from Oakley to Aqeel after he had converted to Islam during the live broadcast. He appeared to recite the Kalima Shahadat while his friends at the live stream event congratulated him on the special occasion.
The rapper chose not to provide additional information regarding his path toward spiritual growth. Central C has gained global recognition for his unique music style and lyrics which draw from his daily experiences and this has earned him millions of fans across the world.
