KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Kamran Tesori, on Thursday announced free petrol for motorcyclists until Eid-ul-fitr following a massive hike in petroleum products amid the Iran war.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tesori, while announcing that 3 litres of petrol will be provided free to motorcyclists until Eid, has said that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, he will visit any pump in the city and fill petrol for the motorcyclists present at the pump at that time.
Kamran Tesori said that this will be an Eid gift for those who cannot afford petrol worth a thousand rupees during the period of inflation. At present, the region is in a state of war; pray for peace to prevail in it. He added that if the war lasts long, the prices of petrol and food items will increase, and we also have to follow Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s austerity plan.
He said that all Iftar parties held at the Governor’s House for the last decade have been cancelled, but the hope of Ramadan will continue for the citizens. I have cancelled all my Iftar engagements as a guest.
