D.I KHAN: Four personnel of Frontier Constabulary martyred and 11 others injured when unknown miscreants attacked them in Kot Lalu area on Monday morning.
Police said that the incident occurred when FC personnel assigned duty for the security of the gas compny SNGPL staff in Kot Lalu area. The miscreant started heavy firing on FC personnels as a result of firing four personnel martyred and 11 others sustained injuries.
The injured personnel were immediately shifted to CMH Dera Ismail Khan, where the condition of some of the injured is said to be critical. After the incident, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
According to sources, the attackers managed to escape from the scene during the shooting, but forces have launched a large-scale search operation in the area to find them.
The law and order situation in the area have been badly affected as attacks on Police and security forces were increasing with each passing day and the locals people feeling a sense of insecurity in DI Khan and nearby tribal districts of South and North Waziristan.
