CHARSADDA (Alaf Khan Sherpaw): Four children were hospitalised after reportedly drinking soft drinks in the Tangi area of the district Charsadda on Tuesday.
According to the police, the condition of four children deteriorated after drinking soft drinks in the village of Tutkai under the limits of the Tangi police station of Charsadda.
Police stated that the children were immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Tangi and then referred to Peshawar.
The affected children include Daniyal (age 10), Abubakar Siddique (age 3), Muhammad Shafi (age 5) and Shad Muhammad’s sons Mahmood and Sania.
Few days ago, a house in Shabqadar, Charsadda, tragically turned from a celebration venue to a site of mourning when the roof collapsed, resulting in six fatalities and five injuries. The incident occurred around 4 am.
Rescue teams, including Rescue 1122 Charsadda and additional teams from Station 11 and Station 22, immediately responded to the reports of the collapse in the Khairabad Matta area of Shabqadar Tehsil. They worked to rescue those buried under the rubble.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were transported to THQ Shabqadar. Most of the victims were guests attending the wedding ceremony. The deceased individuals hail from Peshawar and Khyber Tera. The atmosphere in the entire area remains mournful following this tragic event.
According to the rescue team, the injured include Dawlat Bibi, wife of Hakeem (45 years old), Yamuna, daughter of Fazal Dawood (17 years old), Hasba, daughter of Adnan (6 years old), Amna, daughter of Fazal Dawood (17 years old), and Naeema, wife of Shiraz (30 years old).
The deceased includes 3-year-old Musfa, daughter of Shiraz, 12-year-old Saima, daughter of Raees, Naida, wife of Nawaz (25 years old), Maryam, daughter of Amrooz (5 years old), Zonesha, daughter of Amrooz (2 years old), and Sania, daughter of Imroz (14 years old).
