PESHAWAR: Unknown miscreants planted explosives outside the office of former Nazim of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Fida Muhammad in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which his vehicle was completely destroyed, but fortunately, Fida Muhammad was safe.
According to the police, the explosion was carried out near the main gate of the office, where the explosives were planted. The intensity of the explosion caused severe damage to the vehicle, while there was also partial damage to the surroundings of the office. Immediately after the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and cordoned off the area and tightened security.
Police officials said that Fida Muhammad did not suffer any physical harm in the explosion. A preliminary investigation has been launched, and investigations are underway from various angles to find the background, nature and people involved in the incident. Evidence is being collected, including CCTV footage of the office and the surrounding area.
The incident sparked panic in the area, with local authorities appealing to citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity or individuals to the police so that the responsible elements can be brought to justice.
Former Nazim Fida Muhammad said in a message after the blast that he would not be intimidated by the incident and would continue his mission of serving the people. He said that such actions by miscreants could not dampen their morale. According to the police, action will be taken against those involved in the incident as per the law after the investigation is completed, while the security situation is also being reviewed.
