PESHAWAR: Flour prices have increased once again in the provincial capital, adding to the financial burden on residents already struggling with rising living costs.
The price of a 20-kilogram bag of mixed flour has risen from Rs2,400 to Rs2,500 in local markets. The price of a 20-kilogram bag of fine flour has increased from Rs2,600 to Rs2,700, according to market data, according to figures released by the Flour Dealers Association.
Dealers say that the latest price increase resulted from an unexpected demand surge which created supply chain disruptions. They claim that rising prices occurred because demand and supply reached an unbalanced state.
The sudden price increase has created anxiety among residents because many people find it harder to control their home financial obligations. The price of flour, which people use as a basic food item, has a direct effect on their daily budget expenses.
The authorities need to respond to the situation according to consumers who want price stabilization measures and guaranteed market supply throughout the day.
Market observers note that price changes for essential goods create persistent difficulties that impact low-income and middle-income households throughout the entire city.
