Flour prices further surged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as new prices reached 2800 per 20 Kilogram bag with an increase of 200 rupees compared to 2600 rupees.

According to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Flour Dealers Association, a 20-kilogram bag of fine flour is now being sold in the market for Rs 2,800, which was previously available for Rs 2,600. Local dealers said that the price of 20-kilogram mix flour has also increased by Rs 200 to Rs 2,700. This sudden increase in prices has occurred due to disruptions in the supply of flour from Punjab, which has not only made prices unstable but also threatens to increase further in the coming days.

A few days ago, the price of flour in Peshawar had increased by Rs 100 to Rs 150, after which the price of 20 kg of mixed flour had increased from Rs 2400 to Rs 2500. On the other hand, the flour crisis has also become serious in Balochistan, where a 20 kg bag of flour is being sold for Rs 2300, which is severely affecting the people.Public circles have demanded that the government take immediate steps to control the prices of flour and restore the supply chain so that this basic daily need remains within the reach of the people.
