CHITRAL: The main Chitral-Peshawar road was closed due to heavy flooding, which damaged some parts of the road, creating problems for the travellers and locals.
The locals and stranded travellers demanded that the government department open the road at the earliest and provide relief from the ongoing hardships caused by flooding in the area.
Similarly, heavy rain has caused water to flood homes in Sawabi district, turning what should be a nice experience into something that has caused significant problems for residents. Gandaf Gadon has been one of the worst-affected areas of the rain.
Residents say that constant road construction has caused their neighborhood to dip lower and lower with each reconstruction. Since their homes are at a lower level, rainwater runs directly into the homes.

The residents of the area complained about the lack of government response. They claimed that not a single official of any department has taken up their losses. Government officials urged to pay heed and take action to prevent more damage in the area.
