NOWSHERA: At least five members of a family died, and three others sustained injuries after the roof of a house collapsed in the Babi Jaded area of the tehsil Pabbi in Nowshera on Saturday morning.
According to the Rescue 1122, including children, five members of a family lost their lives, and three others were injured in the incident.
Rescue 1122 official stated that the incident occurred in the Pabbi tehsil, and their team reached the spot soon after receiving an emergency call.
He said that Rescue teams with the local help retrieved the bodies and injured and rushed them to Mian Rashid Shaheed hospital, Pabbi.
The rescue official mentioned that bodies would be handed over to their heirs after fulfilling the medico-legal procedure.
The deceased include 30-year-old Rizwan, nine-year-old Waleeda, six-year-old Ayan, five-year-old Hafsa, and fourteen-year-old Dua.

In a tragic accident took place in the Pir Sabaq area of Nowshera district, when the roof of a mud house collapsed, killing a woman and her 40-day-old child, and critically injuring two other women.
According to details, the roof collapse accident occurred when the roof of the poorly built house gave in unexpectedly, trapping four individuals under the rubble.
Following the incident, rescue officials reached the site and started a relief operation, successfully pulling out all four individuals from the rubble. The victims were taken to Qazi Medical Hospital, where doctors verified the deaths of a 30-year-old woman and her one-month-old child.
The two women who were injured are still undergoing treatment, with their condition reported to be critical.
