Bangladesh team wins the toss and decided to field first against Pakistan as the first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
The match will start at 1:15 pm according to Pakistani time, in which the two teams will face each other on the field. Three new players will make their debut for Pakistan in the first ODI match: Sahibzada Farhan, Moaz Sadaqat, and Shamil Hussain. It should be noted that Sahibzada Farhan recently made a name for himself by showing excellent performance in the T20 World Cup.
The remaining matches of the series are scheduled for March 13 and 15, respectively, and all matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Pakistan cricket team head coach Mike Hesson has expressed full confidence in the new team selected for the series. He said that the young players have made it to the national team by performing brilliantly in Pakistan Shaheens and domestic cricket, and it is hoped that these players will also perform well at the international level.
Mike Hesson added that playing in Bangladeshi conditions is not always easy, so the team will have to adapt to the local pitch and weather as soon as possible to give a tough competition to the host team.
Pakistan’s 15-member squad is led by Shaheen Shah Afridi. The players in the squad include Abdul Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Hussain Talat, and Moaz Sadaqat. Apart from this, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Muhammad Ghazi Ghauri, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, and Shamail Hussain are also part of the team.
