ABBOTTABAD: A grand and grand passing out parade ceremony was held at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, in which Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir participated as the chief guest.
The participants gave a standing ovation upon his arrival. Cadets of the 152nd Long Course, 37th Technical Graduate Course, 71st Integrated Course, and 26th Lady Cadet Course passed out in the ceremony. In this grand ceremony held under the shade of the national flag, the cadets presented a magnificent march past, while the parade ground echoed with scenes of patriotism.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated the passing out cadets and appreciated their military training, discipline, and spirit of sacrifice. He said that the Pakistan Army is the centre of the nation’s hopes and every one of its soldiers is the guarantor of the country’s security, sovereignty, and adherence to the constitution. The ceremony was attended by a large number of senior military officers, foreign guests, families of cadets, and dignitaries, who participated in making the moment memorable.
Field Marshal reviewed the parade and gave awards to distinguished cadets. The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Ahmed Mujtaba Arif Raja of 152nd PMA Long Course. The President’s Gold Medal to Battalion Senior Under Officer Zohair Hussain of 152nd PMA Long Course. Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal to Friendly Country Company Junior Under Officer Tekraj of 152nd PMA Long Course. Chief of Army Staff Marksman Medal was awarded to Gentleman Cadet Syed Hashir Hassan of 152nd PMA Long Course. Chief of Army Staff Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Shaheer Ali of 37th Technical Graduate Course. Commandant’s Overseas Medal to Course Sports Sergeant Most Jannatul Mawa of 26th Lady Cadet Course. Commandant’s Canes were awarded to Course Under Officer Sayed Abdul Hadi of 71st Integrated Course & Course Under Officer Hadia Fayyaz of 26th Lady Cadet Course.
