ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved the Ministry of Interior’s summary recommending that YouTuber Adil Raja be designated as a proscribed individual.
According to sources, the Ministry of Interior prepared a detailed summary in collaboration with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). This summary was presented to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), which then convened a committee to review the case.
After thorough deliberation, the committee’s recommendation was sent to the federal government, where it received approval from the Prime Minister and the federal cabinet.
A formal notification will be issued by the Ministry of Interior and published in the official gazette. Once this notification is made, the proscription will lead to several legal and administrative consequences.
These consequences include a travel ban, employment restrictions, a prohibition on political activities, the non-renewal of passports, and a comprehensive financial embargo. Additionally, an arms embargo will be enforced, and all movable and immovable property belonging to the individual will be confiscated.
Furthermore, Pakistani citizens will be prohibited from interacting with the proscribed individual. Officials have indicated that any red warrants issued will carry enhanced legal and enforcement implications following this proscription.
