PESHAWAR: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the FC Headquarters in Peshawar on Friday and met with Federal Constabulary officers and soldiers following the recent suicide blast at the Federal Headquarters. The Minister praised the bravery of the FC officers.
Upon his arrival, the Interior Minister visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, where he laid floral wreaths and offered prayers for the fallen personnel. He then inspected the site of the attack, where he received a briefing on how the assault by Fitna-al-Khawarij terrorists was thwarted.
Mohsin Naqvi praised the swift and courageous response of the Federal Constabulary, noting that their personnel fought with exceptional bravery and eliminated three suicide bombers in just three minutes. “I salute the sacrifice of the three soldiers who lost their lives,” he stated, adding that their courage foiled the terrorists’ evil intentions.
He reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the martyred soldiers would not go in vain and assured that the families of the martyrs would be treated as if they were his own family. The Minister highlighted that the fallen personnel had set “an eternal example of bravery” by repelling the enemy attack.
In tribute to the force, he commended the courage with which the FC faced the Indian-sponsored terrorists, stating that their response was admirable and a testament to their unwavering commitment to duty.
Additionally, the Interior Minister presided over an important meeting at the FC Headquarters, where he received detailed briefings about the sequence of the attack and the operational response. IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Commandant Federal Constabulary Nazir Gada, and other senior officials were present during the visit.
