BALOCHISTAN: Heavy rains have triggered flash floods in various regions of Balochistan, prompting the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan to initiate large-scale rescue and relief operations to assist affected communities. These operations are currently underway in the flood-hit districts of Chaman, Qilla Abdullah, Gulistan, Loralai, Duki, and Subi, where residents are facing severe flooding.
The heavy rainfall in these areas has created a dire situation, with roads submerged and many regions cut off from the rest of the province. However, the timely and coordinated actions of FC Balochistan North and the civil administration have been crucial in providing immediate relief to those affected.
We are fully committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of Balochistan, stated an FC spokesperson, emphasizing that rescue teams are working around the clock to evacuate citizens from the worst-hit areas and relocate them to safe locations.
In response to the ongoing crisis, traffic control centers have been established throughout the region to manage movement and assist stranded commuters. FC personnel are also providing food, medical assistance, and other essential relief items to those displaced by the floods.
Residents of the affected areas have expressed their gratitude to the FC for their swift response. In these challenging times, we are extremely thankful for the timely intervention of FC Balochistan, said a local citizen, highlighting the significance of the rescue efforts in alleviating the suffering of flood victims.
The coordinated efforts between FC Balochistan North and the local civil administration have instilled a sense of reassurance among the public, who have praised the authorities for their dedication to helping those in need during this crisis.
