BANNU (Salman Ali Khan): At least two children were reportedly killed, and around 30 others were injured when a wedding ceremony turned fatal in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
An emergency has arisen after the roof of a house in Kotka Ghulam Qadir, near Allah Chowk, collapsed. This incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Saddar police station in Bannu.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, the roof collapsed suddenly during a wedding ceremony, burying several people under the rubble. Rescue teams from 1122 quickly arrived at the scene, and operations are currently underway.
Initial reports indicate that two people have died and over 30 others are injured as a result of the accident. The injured individuals have been transported to DHQ Hospital, where they are receiving medical assistance.
Rescue officials and police teams are also evaluating the area to determine if more individuals may be trapped beneath the debris.
