MIRANSHAH: At least 18 people, including two children, were injured on Friday when a vehicle packed with explosives was detonated near a civilian settlement in Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan.

According to initial reports, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive-laden vehicle near the Chashma Pul area. The blast targeted a location in proximity to a civilian population, resulting in multiple casualties.

Upon receiving information about the explosion, rescue teams and security forces immediately reached the scene. All the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Miranshah. Hospital officials confirmed that four of the injured are currently in critical condition.

Security forces have completely sealed off the area and collected evidence from the site. A comprehensive search operation has been launched in the surrounding areas following reports of terrorist presence. Authorities stated that the operation aims to bring the elements involved in this cowardly act to justice.
