BAJAUR (Abbas Khan) A girl was killed, and several people were injured in an alleged explosion in the Malangi area of Tehsil Mamond of Bajaur district on Monday night, local sources reported.
Sources say that the blast caused the roof of a madrasa to collapse, and the explosion intensity was so strong that nearby house roofs shook and doors were blown open.
Local residents said heavy firing continues in the area following the explosion, creating panic among the population. Multiple people are reportedly trapped under the rubble of the madrasa roof.
Rescue operations are underway but facing difficulties due to the ongoing exchange of fire in the area. The full extent of the damage has yet to be assessed.
Authorities have urged people to stay clear of the site while security and rescue teams work to control the situation.
