TEHRAN, IRAN: An explosion occurred at a building in the Iranian city of Bandar Abbas, located on the Gulf coast, according to state media. The cause of the blast is currently unknown.
State television of Iran reported that the explosion took place in an eight-storey building, destroying two floors along with several vehicles and shops in the Moallem Boulevard area of the city.
Rescue and firefighting teams have been deployed to the site to provide assistance.
Eight Injured in Explosion at Residential Building in Bandar Abbas. The Director General of Crisis Management of Hormozgan Governorate said that eight people were injured following an explosion at an eight-storey residential building in Bandar Abbas this afternoon.
According to State media, Persian Gulf Center, Mehrdad Hassan Zadeh stated that the building had 32 units, of which 28 were residential. According to Iran’s state media, the cause of the blast is currently unknown.
