PESHAWAR: Expired chickens were seized, as a butcher was arrested while selling expired Chicken for mincemeat near the Mingora bypass road on Tuesday.
It has been revealed that mincemeat was being prepared from the meat of dead chickens in a warehouse located on the Mingora bypass in Swat. Acting on a tip-off, the district administration raided the warehouse and recovered three large bundles full of mincemeat. According to the administration, the mincemeat prepared from dead chickens was supplied to various hotels located on the bypass. During the raid, the people present in the warehouse managed to escape from the spot, while the spoiled mincemeat was seized and destroyed.
The administration has initiated legal action against the owner of the warehouse and the people involved, while raids are also being conducted at other suspicious places in the area.
