NEPRA will hear the application for a reduction in electricity price on December 31. According to CPPA, 7 billion 813 million units of electricity were provided to the discos in November, and the cost of electricity per unit in November was Rs 6.16. 39.16 percent of electricity was generated from water, 9.34 percent from local coal, 5.06 percent from imported coal, and 8.44 percent from gas.
According to the application, electricity generation from imported LNG in November was 8.64 percent, and 25.23 percent of electricity was generated from nuclear fuel in the month. NEPRA will take a final decision on the reduction in electricity prices after the hearing.
