Director General (DG) Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab Irfan Ali Kathia says that efforts are being made to repair and compensate the damage caused by the floods.

Talking to the media in Lahore, he said that flood victims are returning to their homes, a survey is underway in the flood-affected areas. Irfan Ali Kathia said that the situation of rivers in Punjab is now normal, and the work of restoring flood-affected highways is also underway.

He said that there is no flood situation in Punjab at the moment, more water is likely to come from India in the Sutlej River, and 35,000 cusecs of water is also likely to come from India in the Ravi River.

DG PDMA said that a survey is underway to assess the damage in 27 flood-affected districts, teams consisting of different institutions are conducting the survey with transparency. Irfan Ali Kathia also said that some areas are facing difficulties due to standing water.
