ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reinstated Shakeel Ahmed, a lawmaker from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and member of the ruling party, Tehreek-i-Insaf.
According to sources, the notification to reinstate Shakeel Ahmed was issued after the commission submitted his returns.
Shakeel Ahmed’s suspension under the Election Act 2017 has now ended.
Shakeel Ahmed was elected for a second term from his native constituency, Butkhela Malakand. He also served as a provincial minister in the previous tenure.
