The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued a notice to Provincial Minister Dr. Amjad Ali, Member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from PK-7, and summoned him on February 03.
The notice has been issued under Section 137 regarding discrepancies in assets and liabilities. The Election Commission has ordered Dr. Amjad Ali to appear in person and has fixed the hearing for February 3, 2026, at 10 am in Islamabad.
The relevant authorities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad have also been informed in this regard. The Election Commission has said that action has been initiated on the issue of discrepancies in the assets of the MPA under the Election Act 2017.
The notice states that during the hearing, an explanation will be sought from Dr. Amjad Ali, and all relevant evidence will be reviewed.
