ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday issued a code of conduct for candidates in 13 by-election constituencies ahead of the poll.
According to a notification regarding the code of conduct for the 13 by-election scheduled in the coming few days across the country.
It said there will be a complete ban on announcements, use of the speaker, and rallies 48 hours before the polling in the limits of the constituency.
The notification also instructed that violation of the code would lead to two years in prison or a fine of Rs 100,000 for the respective candidate.
ECP also noted that the election campaign will end on the intervening night of November 21 and 22.
The By-elections will be held in the National Assembly constituencies: NA-18, NA-96, NA-104, NA-129, NA-143, and NA-185.
Similarly, the elections scheduled in Punjab Assembly constituencies PP-73, PP-87, PP-98, PP-115, PP-116, PP-203, PP-269
The Election Commission has declared rallies and processions prohibited in all constituencies at the scheduled time
