The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday released a schedule for the local government elections in Islamabad. The schedule indicates that elections will be held on February 15 in 2026.
According to a statement issued by the ECP on Tuesday stated that polling for local governments in the federal capital will be held on February 15.
It said the nomination papers for the Islamabad local government elections can be submitted until December 27.
According to the statement, the scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates will be done till January 3.
Decisions on appeals on the nomination papers of the candidates will be made by January 13.
The final list of candidates will be announced on January 14, while the marks will be allotted on January 15.
Polling for the local government elections will be held on Sunday, February 15. The results of the local government elections will be compiled by February 19.
