PESHAWAR: An earthquake jolted different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, Nowshera, Swat, Buner, and other regions, triggering widespread fear among residents on Friday morning.

The epicentre of the earthquake was the Hindukush region, and it was measured 5.5 on reactor scale. Earthquake tremors were also reported in the federal capital, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. According to the metro department, the depth of the earthquake was 195 kilometres.
