Dubai International Airport has set a new arrival record of passengers, in which Pakistani passengers have been ranked fourth while using Dubai airport for visits and transit to Europe.

According to the figures released by the authorities, Dubai International Airport welcomed 3.2 million Pakistanis during the first 9 months of this year. Pakistanis ranked fourth among those using Dubai Airport the most. Pakistani passengers visit Dubai for tourism, business, family meetings, job opportunities, and as a transit to Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.

Dubai Airport has a central position for traveling between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. From July to September this year, 24.2 million passengers used Dubai Airport, which is 1.9% more than last year and is the highest number in terms of passenger traffic in its 65-year history. Dubai Airport handled 71 million passengers from January to September, up 2.1% from the previous year. Dubai Airport officials said that a new record of 93.8 million passengers was also set in the last 12 months. If we compare the number of passengers using Dubai Airport at the national level, India came first with 8.8 million passengers, followed by 5.5 million passengers from Saudi Arabia, while 4.6 million British citizens also passed through Dubai Airport.

According to the latest figures, Dubai Airport has performed excellently, with 99.6% of passengers departing from Dubai Airport completing immigration within 10 minutes, while 99.8% of passengers arriving in Dubai took 15 minutes to complete immigration.

New expansions are also underway at Terminal-1 and Terminal-III of Dubai Airport to better meet the needs of increasing passengers, especially South Asian passengers.
