PESHAWAR: The Meteorological Department has forecast dry and cold weather across most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for Saturday.

According to the Met Office, most districts in the province are expected to remain dry, with temperatures anticipated to drop further in hilly areas. Weather experts predict that cold conditions will intensify in mountainous regions, including Chitral, Dir, Malam Jabba, and Abbottabad, where dry weather will persist.

According to Met Office, Shallow fog (in patches) may develop in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan. D.I.Khan and surroundings during morning hours.

Additionally, cold weather is expected to prevail in Peshawar, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan.

The temperature forecast indicates that the minimum temperature in Chitral and Dir is expected to be 0°C, while Malam Jabba is likely to record around 4°C. In the plains, temperatures are expected to drop to 10°C in Peshawar airport, 8°C in Bannu, 10°C in Dera Ismail Khan, and 5°C in Abbottabad.

Meanwhile, humidity levels have been recorded at 29% in Chitral, 38% in Dir, and 58% in Peshawar, according to the department’s report.
