SWAT: The district police officer (DPO) Swat Umar Khan has dismissed a station house officer (SHO) Khwazakhela along with an Assistant Sub-Inspector, following the public complaints.
According to sources, DPO Swat took action on the complaints of residents of Khwazakhela against the local police station, SHO and an ASI over misuse of power and negligence.
The local residents of Khwaza Khela and other suburbs had addressed a press conference and complained against SHO Khwaza Khela Aziz Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector Farman.
To which DPO Swat Muhammad Umar Khan took action on the complaint and suspended SHO Khwazakhela Aziz Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector Farman, calling them to the police line.
DPO Swat also formed a committee to investigate the matter and appointed Additional SP Lower Swat Ghulam Sadiq as the inquiry officer, who has launched an inquiry into the complaint.
Meanwhile, DPO Swat Muhammad Umar Khan has transferred Muhammad Ayaz of SHO Fatehpur to the police station Khwazakhela and Sub-Inspector Ziaur Rehman as SHO Fatehpur police station.
