SWABI: A domestic dispute related to women turned deadly on Tuesday as a couple shot dead in the limits of city police station in the district Swabi.
According to the sub-divisional police officer, SDPO Ijaz Abazai, the double murder incident occurred on Tuesday morning inside a house. However, a first information report (FIR) has been registered at the city police station and efforts were underway to tack down the suspects.
SDPO said that the motive behind the couple murder was related to women due to which husband and wife were killed.

He added that upon receiving information, SHO City and check-post in-charge along with police personnel reached the spot to arrest the accused but seeing the police party, the accused opened fire at the police personne resulting in injury to one of the accused who has been arrested.
SDPO asserted that a pistol was also recovered from the accused used in the crime and FIR lodged under section 302 and 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code and begin further interrogation.
