DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Reports indicate that a suicide blast occurred during a private wedding ceremony in Dera Ismail Khan, attributed to personal enmity linked to extortion. Tragically, innocent civilians were among those killed in the blast.
The actions of the Fitna al-Khawarij have now escalated to the point where they are targeting wedding ceremonies. This disturbing trend reflects the provincial government’s perceived leniency towards these extremists, which has resulted in weakened police morale and effectiveness. Consequently, these groups have begun to infiltrate even joyous occasions to sow discord.
This cowardly attack demonstrates that the Fitna al-Khawarij has no regard for religion, morality, or humanity. Transforming moments of celebration into mourning underscores their brutality and violent mentality.
The primary responsibility of the provincial government is to ensure the safety of its citizens and their property. It must take decisive action against everyone who facilitates terrorism. If strong measures are not implemented against the Fitna al-Khawarij, more families will suffer.
