PESHAWAR: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) issued a travel advisory alerting motorists to dense fog affecting parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
NHMP issued warning that extremely low visibility during fog increases the risk of accidents on national highways and motorways.
The advisory noted that authorities may temporarily close certain motorway sections during periods of heavy fog to ensure traveler safety.
Motorway police urged motorists to plan their trips between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and to avoid unnecessary nighttime travel.
Motorway police officials advised travelers to check the latest traffic and weather updates before starting their journey.
They encouraged passengers to use the NHMP helpline 130, Radio FM 95, and official social media channels for real-time information.
