ISLAMABAD: Marvi Khurshid Malik, daughter of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Vice President and Senator Sherry Rehman, passed away at the age of 39, family sources confirmed on Sunday.
According to family members, Marvi Malik was shifted to a private hospital in Karachi in critical condition after suffering a brain embolism.
She was placed on a ventilator but could not survive.
Her funeral prayers will be offered on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 3:30 pm in DHA Phase 8, Karachi.
The news of her passing has sparked widespread grief across political, social, and journalistic circles, with many expressing condolences and praying for the departed soul and patience for the bereaved family.
President Asif Ali Zardari also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Marvi Khurshid Malik.
In his condolence message, he prayed for the departed soul’s forgiveness and elevated ranks in the hereafter, and for strength and patience for the grieving family.
He said that may Allah grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
