WANA: The district administration of South Waziristan has enforced a day-long curfew in Wana and Shakai tehsils on October 6 (today), from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
According to the official notification, there will be no movement during the curfew period. All markets, commercial centers, and shops in the relevant areas will be completely closed.
The order further states that entry to Shakai and the Anzar Cheena-Wana route will be strictly restricted. Movement will be allowed only in case of an emergency and with pre-authorization from police or security personnel, after presenting a valid ID card and accompanying documents.
The residents are also requested to drive their vehicles off the road by at least 100 meters, if a security forces vehicle is seen in the area, so that no tragedy might happen.
The district administration has requested citizens to cooperate as much as possible with law enforcement agencies during curfew time in the spirit of peace and public safety.

Earlier on Saturday, the South Waziristan Administration has informed that a complete curfew will be imposed in Tehsil Sarvekai of South Waziristan Upper District from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm on October 04, 2025.
According to the notification, during the curfew, there will be a complete ban on all types of movement in the affected areas, while all markets and bazaars will remain closed. Entry on the following routes has been strictly prohibited during the curfew which include Kandahari to Splatoi, Burund to Mawlay Khan Sarai.
The administration has instructed the public that only in case of emergency, with the permission of the police or security forces, by submitting the identity card and necessary documents, the journey can be continued.
In addition, citizens have been strictly instructed that upon seeing a security forces vehicle, they should immediately move their vehicle 100 meters off the road. The administration has appealed to the citizens to strictly follow these instructions to maintain law and order and cooperate with the security agencies.
