NORTH WAZIRISTAN: A strict two-day curfew has been imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district due to security concerns.
Deputy Commissioner Yousaf Karim issued a notification providing guidelines for the public.
According to the notification, the curfew will remain in effect on October 25 and 26 from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. During this period, all main highways and key roads across the district will be closed to the general public, with movement allowed only for security forces.
The Deputy Commissioner urged citizens to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement to help reduce security risks.
It was further stated that essential service providers and emergency services will be exempt from the restrictions.
Local sources reported that the curfew was imposed in view of potential security threats to maintain law and order in the district.
During this time, business centers, markets, and public places will remain temporarily closed. Residents of North Waziristan have been informed about the curfew and are cooperating with security officials’ instructions.
