ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court issued warrants for the arrest of Senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf include Omar Ayub, Sheikh Waqas Akram and Zartaj Gul.
According to details, an important development was made in the Sangjani rally and protest case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Omar Ayub, Sheikh Waqas Akram and Zartaj Gul, where the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court issued arrest warrants for the three leaders and ordered their arrest and appearance in the court.
During the hearing in the court, Omar Ayub filed a petition for exemption from appearance, which the court rejected. The case was heard by Judge Tahir Abbas Supra, who remarked that “all these accused have not appeared before the court even once in this case.”
It should be noted that the case against the three leaders was registered on charges of alleged incitement and disturbance of peace during the Sangjani rally. The court has adjourned the further hearing of the case till October 20, 2025, and has directed the police to arrest and produce the three leaders before the next date.
