ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court Islamabad has declared Bahria Town head Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz as declared accused in alleged money laundering cases related to Bahria Town.
Hearing the cases against the accused persons, Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah Baloch declared that Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz were allegedly sending Bahria Town money abroad through money laundering. The court, issuing clear orders, not only declared Malik Riaz and his son accused but also ordered the blocking of the national identity cards and mobile SIMs of other absconding accused, including them. It may be recalled that in the previous hearing, the court had warned that if Malik Riaz and Ali Riaz did not appear in court, they would be declared proclaimed offenders.
