ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has fined Naseem Shah for violating his central contract. According to Media reports, the PCB’s disciplinary committee has imposed a fine of Rs 20 million on the fast bowler for this violation.
Naseem Shah had received a show-cause notice from the Cricket Board on March 27, and the hearing was concluded after he provided his response. Following the hearing, the three-member PCB committee decided to impose the fine, taking into account his position and his unconditional apology.
Additionally, Naseem Shah’s social media advisor has been dismissed, and the PCB has decided to blacklist this advisor. The controversy arose after Naseem Shah made a statement regarding the arrival of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at the stadium on social media.
It is worth noting that Naseem Shah is part of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise ‘Rawalpindi,’ which acquired him for Rs 86.5 million.
