ISLAMABAD: Indian comedian Munawar Faruqui has shared his spiritual experience during his visit to Masjid al-Haram, saying the sense of peace there is beyond words.
Faruqui spoke about various parts of his life including his spiritual beliefs and family life during a Ramadan television show which aired in India. The show is hosted by former actress Sana Khan and her husband Mufti Anas.
During the conversation, Faruqui stated that while one is able to visit many places in the world, the peace enjoyed at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah cannot be enjoyed anywhere else in the world. He described his Umrah experience by explaining that his wife who had performed Umrah before him held greater knowledge about the pilgrimage.
Faruqui said he understood the need to return home after several days yet the spiritual environment of the place prevented him from departing. The spiritual atmosphere of Masjid al-Haram creates a unique experience which compels visitors to remain present there.
Faruqui explained his belief about faith by saying that prayer serves as the best method to assist our loved ones whom we should not criticize. He added that despite scientific advancements people will continue to seek divine assistance during their most challenging times.
He further said that from a religious point of view, true success is when people remember you with good wishes and pray for you from the heart.
