PESHAWAR: The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has approved the purchase of new vehicles to enhance the operational capacity of the police force.
According to an official statement, following the provincial government’s approval, a variety of modern vehicles will be provided to the police to improve patrol, investigation, and operational efficiency across all districts of the province.
Details released by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat indicate that the approved vehicles will include 4 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), 39 single cabs, 34 double cab pickups, 2 Rio cars, 15 regular pickups, and 7 additional vehicles.
These vehicles will be distributed to police stations in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ensuring that personnel have the necessary resources for effective operations and patrols.
Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stated, “Despite the unsupportive attitude of the federal government, the provincial government is committed to providing modern facilities to the police. Our personnel are on the front lines fighting terrorism, and it is our primary responsibility to equip them with the best resources.”
