PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi Pledges to Restore Peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at any cost.

In a recent statement, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Mohammad Afridi pledged to restore peace in the province at all costs, emphasizing that terrorism will be defeated through faith, determination, and resolve.

Speaking to a joint gathering of police officers and civil servants in Peshawar, Afridi acknowledged the extraordinary challenges that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has faced for over four decades due to terrorism.

He praised the police for their resilience, stating that despite limited resources, they have valiantly fought against terrorism for 21 years.

Afridi expressed pride in the sacrifices made by the police, commending their courage in confronting terrorists. We will fight for the sake of Allah’s will and the public interest, and with this spirit, victory will be ours, he declared.

He also announced plans to enhance the capabilities of the police, stating that they would receive bulletproof vehicles, modern weapons, and anti-drone systems.

He stressed that the police force is being equipped with the latest technology on an urgent basis and that any shortage of resources would not be allowed to hinder security efforts.

Regarding the administrative framework, the Chief Minister assured that there would be no political interference in the affairs of officers but emphasized the importance of delivering results.

He reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, warning that no leniency would be tolerated in this matter. He added that performance indicators would be used to evaluate the effectiveness of government officials.

Afridi further noted that delays in delivering justice by those responsible have exacerbated the situation. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment, aligned with the vision of the PTI founder, to provide relief to the public. Decisions will be made for the benefit of the people, and we will focus on delivering justice and improved governance, he concluded.
