PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, chaired a meeting on Sunday regarding the Public Service Commission (PSC) and issued orders to digitize its process.
A key meeting regarding the Public Service Commission (PSC) was held under the chairmanship of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, where he outlined comprehensive reforms aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and merit-based recruitment in the province.
The Chief Minister instructed relevant authorities to ensure that new posts under the Provincial Management Service (PMS) are announced by January 2026. He emphasized that preparatory work for these vacancies should begin immediately to meet the timeline.
Highlighting the importance of modern governance, the CM directed the complete digitization of examinations and all PSC-related processes. He stated that digital reforms would enhance efficiency, reduce unnecessary human intervention, and curb the culture of favoritism, in line with the government’s vision for merit-based and transparent administration.
CM also stressed that all resources and support for the PSC should be prioritized to ensure timely recruitment and improved public service delivery. He called for adopting innovative, out-of-the-box policies to accelerate the recruitment process while maintaining meritocracy.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Mina Khan Afridi and Aftab Alam, Finance Advisor Mazamil Aslam, administrative secretaries, and the Chairman of the Public Service Commission.
