PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has appointed Zahoor Babar Afridi of the Malak Din Khel tribe from his home district, Khyber, as a Chief Security Officer (CSO).
According to a notification issued by the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Friday, Zahoor Afridi, district police officer, Mardan, has been transferred and posted as a Chief Security Officer to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi.
Zahoor Babar Afridi belongs to Malak Din Khel tribe from Khyber district and close relative of the PTI leader and former Higher Education Minister, Mena Khan Afridi.
After oath-taking and assuming charge of the KP Chief Executive, Mr Sohail Afridi exercised the powers under section 17 (4) of the KP police act 2017, amended 2024 and appointed Zahoor Babar Afridi as his CSO.
