PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, via a phone call, communicated with Senator Aimal Wali Khan, the central president of the Awami National Party (ANP), talked about the security situation in the province.
The Chief Minister invited Senator Khan to join the All-Party Conference (APC), which has been called by the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
Senator Aimal Wali Khan upon receiving the PAC invitation, expressed that he would first hold internal consultation before confirming his party’s presence at the APC. The conference has an aim to find time for political leaders to talk about urgent security issues that have arisen in the province.
The resolution of holding an All-Party Conference was made close to the meeting of the Security Committee of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, that was chaired by Speaker Babar Salim Swati, and was held yesterday. The photograph of the occasion includes appearances of the Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Opposition Leader Dr. Abdullah, and members of different political parties in the provincial assembly.
As a part of the same story, CM Sohail Afridi was also in discussion with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi at the Governor’s House, Peshawar. The talks were mainly centered on the security situation, public welfare projects, and the overall development and progress of the province.
Besides, the Governor and Chief Minister also talked about the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award and took the decision to cooperate in getting the province’s deserving share from the federal government. Both leaders talked about the necessity of having one voice to be able to guarantee the rights of the province at every forum.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, while talking about the importance of love and brotherhood, said that without these, it is quite awkward, or even impossible, to make a rich, peaceful, flourishing and developed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
