PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, through his directive, has demanded an inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the recruitment of the paramedical staff in the district of Mohmand.
The Establishment Department, on the Chief Minister’s instruction, has set up a special fact-finding committee to investigate the report of the irregularities in the recruitment process of the paramedical staff.
The official order about the committee’s formation was issued from the Chief Secretary’s office, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Besides DG Sports KP, Tashfeen Haider, the committee is also comprised of the Finance Department Additional Secretary, Irshad Ali. The team has been given a week to carry out its probe and submit the report.
With regard to the issue of government job selections, CM Sohail Afridi was categorical that transparency and merit would be the watchwords. According to him, the provincial government will not be a party to favouritism, bribery, or any fraudulent activities, and that all appointments will be solely on the basis of professionalism, honesty, and transparency.

KP health department transfers multiple officers across province
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health department on Tuesday transferred and posted several officers across multiple cadres.
According to an official notification, Dr Muhammad Naeem, Grade 19, has been removed from the post of MS DHQ hospital, Battagram. The notification said that DDrMuhammad Naeem’s performance during official duty was found unsatisfactory.
It said the department had given additional charge of MS of DHQ Hospital Battagram to Deputy DHO Battagram Doctor Gul Shahzada. The notification said, the Provincial Drug Inspector Mudassar Ali has been transferred and posted at Karak, while Muhammad Shakeel Nawaz has been posted as Provincial Drug Inspector Battagram. Meanwhile, the Health Secretary has also removed Senior Pharmacy Technician Khanzada Khan from his post for negligence during the raid.
The statement said that Dr Muhammad Naeem’s performance while performing official duties was unsatisfactory.
The Health Department has given the additional charge of Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital Battagram to Deputy DHO Battagram Dr Gul Shahzada.
According to the same statement, Provincial Drug Inspector Mudassar Ali has been transferred, and Muhammad Shakeel Nawaz has been posted as Provincial Drug Inspector Battagram.
In addition, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Secretary has also removed Senior Pharmacy Technician Khanzada Khan from his post for negligence during the raid.
