RAWALPINDI: Two Chinese relief flights carrying 300 tents and 9,000 blankets arrived at Nur Khan Air Base on Sunday to assist families displaced by the recent floods.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the aid reflects China’s continued commitment as a reliable partner of Pakistan, providing timely monsoon relief for flood-affected communities, particularly in Punjab.
The relief consignment was received at a ceremony attended by Federal Minister Amir Muqam, NDMA Chairman Inam Haider Malik, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and NDMA.
On the occasion, the minister conveyed Pakistan’s gratitude to the Chinese government for its swift support, stressing that the aid would provide much-needed comfort and shelter to thousands of flood-hit families.
