China has successfully tested the world’s largest drone, which has the capacity to load 100 small drones internally in times of emergency.

According to the Chinese official news agency, this unmanned aerial vehicle called Jiutian has completed its first test flight in Shaanxi Province.  According to Chinese media, this 16.35-meter-long drone is capable of carrying up to 6,000 kilograms and flying for 12 hours. The American company set a world record by flying 5,000 drones simultaneously.

According to Chinese officials, Jiutian is designed for civil purposes such as emergency relief, natural disaster rescue, geographical surveying, and communications. In this regard, experts say that it has eight hard points from which guided bombs, air-to-air, and anti-ship missiles can be fired. This drone can carry more than 100 small drones that are used for swarm attacks.
