ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi, has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, seeking his meeting with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Afridi, has sent a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Yahya Khan Afridi, requesting a meeting with the PTI founder, Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail. A copy of this letter is available with Pakhtun Digital.
In his letter, Chief Minister Afridi states, “As the elected representative of 45 million people in the province, it is my constitutional and moral duty to seek guidance from the Patron-in-Chief of my party, Imran Khan, who is presently incarcerated. I have previously written to the Federal Ministry of Interior and the Punjab Home Ministry regarding this matter, but despite several attempts, I have not been granted a meeting.”
He concludes by urging that orders be issued to the relevant authorities, including the Superintendent of Adiala Jail, to facilitate a meeting with Imran Khan.
